This UK supplied right hand drive, Dutch Blue matching numbers Spider hits the spot in terms of the perfect balance between a car in fantastic original condition with an impeccable history file, and a car that is ideal as a very solid reliable and usable car.

The Spider started life on April 13th 1976 before being supplied to the UK Alfa Dealers Paget Automobiles Ltd in Surrey and sold and registered new to a Mr C.J. Risebrook on 22nd March 1978.

The car’s original bill of sale, along with a certificate of rust proofing by Ziebart carried out before delivery, starts an incredible history file of dealership and Alfa specialist service invoices and Alfaholics / Classic Alfa parts invoices for virtually every year from delivery in 1978 through to recent years.

To top this off, in the file is virtually every MOT test certificate (including MOT reports) from its very first MOT on February 19th 1981, right the way through to recent years as well as many expired tax discs.

Unbelievably, the cars original dealer stamped Service Coupon Book, Voucher Book & Dealer Book have remained with the car and in virtually brand new condition! Also, the original Alfa Romeo Used car Warranty booklet and paperwork from the Paget Automobiles is present, from when the car was sold to its second owner, Miss S. Haccaw, in 1984. This lady purchaser enjoyed the car until September 1994, taking the total recorded mileage to about 41,000 miles.

The Spider’s third owner owned it for just two years before selling it in January 1996 to another long term owner, who enjoyed it until it was purchased by the most recent owner in September 2009.

All of the five owners of this superb car have maintained it to a very high standard by known specialists, with the most recent owner spending well over Β£10,000 in refurbishments and enhancements. These works included a Classic Alfa suspension handling kit, a new clutch, an engine rebuild featuring high compression pistons and Colombo and Bariani 11.6mm cam shafts all being carred out around October and November 2009, a new dark blue roof, new bumpers, a new grille, new seat foams and red vinyl seat covers, and a repaint in the cars original colour being fitted and carried out around May 2010, a new radiator was fitted around August 2010, and an Alfaholics stainless steel sports exhaust and a reconditioned gearbox being fitted in January 2011. It should be noted that there are no invoices for the engine rebuild and the body repaint in the history file as the works were done by acquaintances of the owner, but there are invoices for the parts used.

The almost 100% complete history file is indicative that the car has always been in caring hands over its just five previous owners, and this is apparent in its excellent all round original condition today.

This extremely pretty and great sounding Spider is being sold out of an 11 year ownership with just 74,910 miles, the car’s beautiful Dutch Blue paintwork and very lovely burgundy interior has just been fully detailed and car fully checked over and presents beautifully and ready for top-down enjoyment

A truly rare opportunity to secure a stunning and extremely well maintained, late right-hand drive Alfa Spider with an unbeatable history file, low ownership, low mileage and in a stunning colour combination.

A tailored cotton car cover will be included with the sale, along with original tool kit.
